CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • Yin is considered the yoga of joints, because unlike other styles of yoga the emphasis is not on the muscles, but on the deep connective tissue.

Do you often have headaches, neck ache, or tension in between the shoulder blades, lower back and buttocks? Is it difficult to release that tension with your yoga practice? Then this session is for you!

Using yoga balls & props you will release muscular and fascia knots (this practice is also known as myofascial or deep tissue release) in the neck, upper and lower back and buttocks. All levels are welcome! This practice is superb before bed.

Yin Yoga Therapy with Acupressure Balls w/ Darlene

  • Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.

Restore & Soothe Your Soul (Restorative) Yoga w/ Darlene

  • TGIF! Get ready for the weekend with a yoga series that energizes and unwinds the stress from the week. We'll start with breath work and slowly build into poses that activate the core and strengthen our arms, legs, and glutes. We'll finish with light stretching and breathing exercises. A great class for athletes looking to get their stretch on. All levels welcome.

Friday Unwind w/ Jo

  • This class is for those who are new to a meditation practice, and are just beginning their curiosity into embracing stillness in the body and mind. Meditation is a grounding practice that connects you with your true self, and with the earth. Focus will be on establishing a relationship with the breath, and inviting a relaxing state of ease in the body, and mind. Releasing stress, tension, and allowing yourself to be here now, in the present moment. Please bring a journal to class with you as we will be reflecting on our practice with a few minutes of stream of consciousness writing.

Hatha Vinyasa Flow w/ Cindy

  • Because Chelsea’s class is for children (ages 5- 11), the moods of the children, levels of yoga experience, and overall vibes of the day will steer the routine of the class. Some classes may practice a more gentle flow, while others might bring out some high energy and end in a dance party! Chelsea will aim to get to know each student prior to teaching and all levels are absolutely welcome. Chelsea’s practice always includes meditation, and breath practice. For safety and comfort, she offers modifications and varieties of poses and will typically include themes and imagery to enhance the connection between mind, body and breath. As time progresses, she plans to split the classes by students closer in age and she will be sure to keep the community notified of this.
